At KCC we believe in giving back to our community. That’s why we have added this DONATE button so you can help us send an kid to camp every season. 100% of your donation (minus the bank fees) will go towards our “I WANT TO GO TO CAMP” fund along with 5 percent of our profits at KCC. Every little bit helps! No minimum or maximum here!

Believe it or not – even in a community as rich as the North Shore – every year, hundreds of parents have to decide whether to send their kids to camp or to simply put food on the table! We are very excited to offer some families some comfort when making these kinds of decisions and allowing kids to have memories to last forever. HELP US MAKE THIS POSSIBLE and DONATE TODAY!!!

About the North Shore

Painting, hiking, soccer, dancing, skiing, surfing, theatre, movies, studying … the North Shore has it all!

From sports and leisure to arts, culture and education, the North Shore is home to hundreds of cultural, recreational, sport and community groups.

The North Shore is the home of three principal municipalities: a compact City of North Vancouver on Burrard Inlet which is enclosed by a larger, suburban–like District of North Vancouver stretching from Deep Cove to the Capilano River and West Vancouver which goes from the Capilano River to Horseshoe Bay, Bowen Island and Lions Bay.

The Coast Salish, the Ancestors of the Tsleil–Waututh, Musqueam, and Squamish peoples were the first ones to call the North Shore home. They sustained themselves by fishing, hunting, and food–gathering.

The Spaniards arrived in the 1700’s followed in 1792 by the British who were led by Captain George Vancouver.

The North Shore is or has been home to many celebrities such as Bryan Adams, Sarah Mclachlan, Elvis Costello, Jason Priestley, olympic athletes like sprinter Harry Jerome, broadcaster Red Robinson, actor and Chief of the Burrard Band Dan George, skater Karen Magnussen, Group of Seven painter Fred Varley, writer Malcolm Lowry, Margaret Sinclair (wife of Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau), cartoonist Lynn Johnston, Squamish Chief Joe Capilano, and mountaineer Phyllis Munday.

No wonder there are so many wonderful camps you can find in the North Shore!
