Family Day Activities in the North Shore

First Ever Family Day in B.C.

February 11 is B.C.’s first ever Family Day, with family-friendly events planned in many communities, including half-price lift tickets for children at most ski resorts and free rides for children on BC Ferries.

Family Day is about spending time together with the people important to us! so let’s get put there and enjoy the day… Rain or Shine!

West Vancouver Community Center Family Day


9 – 10 a.m. Group Fitness: Bring a spouse or family member for free!
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Indoor Cycling: Ocean Room
10:30 – 11:40 a.m. Family Yoga: Lily Lee Spirit Room
10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Family Open Gym Drop-in
10 – 10:30 a.m. STROBE – FREE DEMO: Kids & adults dance & fitness. Ridiculously fun! Combines DANCE, inter-ACTIVITY and PLAY!
10:30 – 11 a.m. SPORTBALL – FREE DEMO: Join in the fun and learn what it’s all about.

Free Magic Go-Around Carousel Rides – All Ages!  Saturday, Sunday and Monday 9am – 10am, 12pm – 1pm, 3pm to 4pm
Kids Terrain Park – A mini terrain park will be set up in the Olympic Plaza for your little ones! Plus we’ll have Park certified instructors giving free coaching!
Air Bag – FREE Airbag jumps all weekend long! Starting Friday evening through til Monday, the Airbag will be open and all jumps will be free. Valid lift ticket or season pass mandatory.
Gnarly the Bear – Mascot Gnarly will be hanging out all weekend long!

Lessons for Parents – Sign up your child for any Skooter or Child Group Lesson and get 20% off a 2 hour Adult Group Lesson. Nordic Area Activities

Tube Park -Join the fun in the Tube Park.
Art in the Park: Try your hand at sculpting a snowman, or a castle, or a dragon!
SnowPlay fun: Earn your hot chocolate! Try an age-old entertaining pass-time, ring-tossing. Or put your snowball skills to good use with some target practice.
SnowPlay Olympics: Get your Gold Medal for Canada! Catch the hat, toss the tube shot put, or shoot the net ringette.
XC Ski Lessons • Kids only classic lesson (6-12yrs) – Saturday and Sunday at 1:30pm – 3pm•  Classic ski lesson (kids 6-12 can attend with a parent) – Friday at 12:30pm, Sat & Sun 11:30am & 1:30pm and Monday 10:30am – 12pm
Chocolate Fondue Snowshoe tour – This family friendly tour will take you through a snowy forest to enjoy a chocolate fondue in the Hollyburn Meadows. Call 604.922.0825 to reserve your spot.

Family Day in Vancouver

If you feel like celebrating Family Day crossing the bridge, there are many activities, mainly happening around the Vancouver Art Gallery: Watercolour activities inspired by Emily Carron the fourth floor, tours of their exhibitions oriented toward children and families. Outside the galley you will find face-painting, shoot out hockey and music. Here is the schedule for the day:
